Since its founding in 1970, Oudens + Knoop has provided architectural and interior design services to government and private institutional clients throughout the US and worldwide. Oudens + Knooop Architects specilizes in high-performance buildings in the areas of design which we have a long history and established expertise:

We have set our philosophic agenda to be on the following five points:

1. Design Excellence — Thorough planning and healing environments based on the knowledgeable application of our experience, awareness of the codes, listening to our clients, coordination with our engineering colleagues and applying our thoughts and efforts. torch of knowlege from past experience into developing expertise with in the projession. 2. Design for the Environment — Being stewards of the environment is recognition of good responsible practice. Our firm is a member of the US Green Building Council: We have staff experienced in sustainable design; and we are training our staff for accreditation in the LEED program. We work with our clients to set a reasonable agenda for good environmental design that compliments the needs of the project.

3. Design for Human Performance — Our programming experience is an added value to our capabilities in designing for state of the art facilities that are able to achieve design excellence beyond the visual and into the functional and experiential aspects of design. We apply over three decades of working with a variety of clients world wide to purse excellence in programmatic clarity and designing for human performance. We listen to our clients. On every project, we commit to understanding our client's objectives and creating design responses that meet both user needs and institutional objectives.

4. Quality of Service — The quality of service we bring to projects is best illustrated by the fact that the majority of Oudens + Knoop's work over the past 36 years has been through repeat commissions for long-term clients.

5. Quality Workplace — We are proud to say that our average employee tenure is over a decade. We commit to training, developing and mainitaing a high quality professional force in our office. We work to prevent constant changing of personnel on projects. We have structured continuing education within the office to carry the the torch of knowledge from past experience into developing expertise with in the profession.
